Total Security is just the latest in a long line of fake antivirus programs known as “rogue spyware”. How they work is they slip onto your computer through a trojan virus. A trojan virus (named after the Trojan Horse) acts like a benign application in order to allow you to install it. Often times you have no idea what you are allowing on your system. If you don’t have real time protection you may not notice anything at all! Once installed it will begin its work, spreading throughout your system and crippling your computers ability to function.
